How can Comedy Stitch help?
In a nutshell, we use the creative process to achieve therapeutic goals.
We use Film, Drama, Radio and a whole lot of comedy to pull it all together.
The Power of Laughter
Who doesn't love a reet good laugh? It's infectious! It draws people together in ways that trigger healthy physical, social and emotional changes, plus boosts mood, diminishes pain, and protects you from the damaging effects of stress.
Humour lightens your burdens, inspires hope, and connects you to others! Yep...nothing works faster than a good laugh, and best of all. It's free!
The Power of Radio
Radio is the most effective way to transform and transport audiences and participants into a completely different world. One of the reasons it is one of our most empowering projects to be part of is because Radio really does allow you to become whoever you wish, simply through the power of your voice.
Suddenly, people can see how powerful having a voice can be, and you don't even need to brush your hair to be heard.
The Power of Film
Who doesn't love film? Who doesn't have a fave film? Film is so accessible on so many levels, and sometimes you don't even need words to tell a story. The visual imagery can impact and leave an impression on someone forever.
Filmmaking is one of the most exciting projects to be part of. Getting a film crew together and shooting a film is no easy task, but with planning and a great team, it can be one of the most rewarding…and once you've shouted 'Action,' there's no turning back.
The Power of Play
The power of play in our daily lives is not just a 'want' but a 'need'. A growing body of evidence supports the views that playing, having fun, and being uber-creative throughout your life is an innate behaviour and contributes to the quality of our lives. It improves our well-being, physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
So who's up for a game of musical statues
before we change the world?!
The Power of Drama
Drama is role play. You can be anyone you want to be. You can use your inner rage in a dramatic scene or tap into an experience to make a scene have an impact. It can be powerful to play a character who says and does things you never thought you could say and do. When we play somebody else it gives us a licence to let go.
The Power of Community
It can mean feeling part of something you are proud of. There is nothing like it. Having a sense of trust, belonging, safety to be yourself and be looked out for.
By being part of a community, you can influence, learn and grow from each other. Community is not just where we live; it is how we feel.
Our job… to make people feel and be amazing.

The Power of Comedy.
Once you can reframe any negative situation and make it funny, you're winning, right?!
Life can be tricky. Sometimes we do not say how hard we are finding it… but when you see the stand-ups talk about all the rubbish we go through and say what you're thinking, we identify, and it lightens the load.
Stand-up comedy is a powerful way to reframe situations, talk about how you see the world, have everyone's full attention, and be ready to listen to your experiences. You will probably find people relate to you more than you thought.
The Power of Responsibility
Do you remember that time you were responsible for something as a child? Remember how proud you felt when you achieved that responsibility successfully. As small as it may have been, people see us as responsible and reliable when we do what we have promised. This boosts self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-worth. Making us all feel pretty chuffed (Manchester slang for happy) with ourselves.
